Summer is slowly winding down. Vacations are a thing of the past, kids are headed back to school and we're again focused on our work. (Or maybe you're retired and everyday is a holiday š„°).
As we head into our BUSY season, we may be juggling and wearing additional "hats" in our day to day life, including but not limited to.... baker (for those school fundraisers), chauffeur, cheerleader (for those with kids or grandkids in sports), holiday planner, and cruise director(for out kids, grandkids and for ourselves).
This is all the more reason why meditation is a wonderful addition to anyone's daily routine. Meditation allows us to recenter ourselves, fostering calm out of of chaos.
But if you've never tried meditation before, it can be quite intimidating to start. The wide variety of meditation phone apps, YouTube videos, types of meditation to choose from AND conflicting information on the how, where, when etc. can be daunting. Your brain is so on overload you give up before you even get started.
If you've tried meditation before but you're struggling and not feeling the benefits, it can be discouraging. And it definitely reduces your chances of continuing.
So what's a person supposed to DO?
The most important question here is....
What is the best type of meditation that fits YOUR comfort level BUT benefits YOU and your health?
We are all unique individuals. So one type of meditation that works for someone else may not necessarily work for you and vice versa.
The KEY here is knowing WHICH one is best suited for our personality, temperament, and learning type.
